FAQ

Where are you located? I am located in Fort Meade, Florida. Most of my clients drive from Lakeland, Winter haven, Bartow or other surrounding areas.

How would you describe your style? My style is warm, vibrant, emotive.

How long will it take to receive my images? After our session, I will have sneak peeks available within 24 hours and a gallery for you to choose your images within 1 week.

Where does the session take place? I shoot most of my sessions at our property in Fort Meade, we have over 360 acres so there are many beautiful places to choose from. I also have a studio where I shoot newborn sessions as well as maternity. I do offer in home sessions as well upon request.

What if I'm not photogenic? Don't worry, I promise no one thinks there are photogenic. When you come out for a session, no need to worry about posing, raw moments are my favorite! I want you to have memories of your family in the place that you are right now!

What should we wear? Your session comes with a consultation where we can go over styling tips and advice, I will be there to guide you through everyone's outfits and you will have access to my client wardrobe.

What happens if we get rained out? The night before every session I check the weather for the next day and if it is supposed to rain, we will keep an eye on it until closer to your session time. We all know Florida weather is so unpredictable so I always keep a close eye on it. If it looks like it will be ringing during your scheduled time, we will reschedule for a time that is convenient.

What if my kids don't cooperate? Let's face it, sometimes kids just aren't feeling it. Sometimes it just takes them a few minutes to warm up since they are in a new place and seeing a new face. Most of the time if you are just natural and just interact with your kiddos like you normally do, they do just fine. They won't have to stand there and say "cheese!" I want you to have photos of your children that show their true personality and how they were at that age. They are only little for so long and it is so fun to watch them grow.

Ready to book, what's next? When you are ready to book, you can contact me through my website or email at ashleybaldwinphotography@gmail.com. You will pay your session fee which reserves your date in my calendar and then we can start planning your session!

Are the images edited? Yes! All of your images will be "hand painted." I start all images in Lightroom where all of the basic edits are done and finish them all in photoshop. Editing is like artwork to me and one of my passions, you can be sure that so much thought and work has gone into every single image that you receive.

Do you deliver every image you shoot? The short answer is no, during upper session I will take many, many images but not every one will be usable. There will be some where someone has their eyes closed, someone is in an unflattering position etc. I go through every photo and choose all of the "usable" photos, then I will do a "soft edit" so they can go into a gallery where you can choose the ones that you would like. All digitals are sold separately so you choose which package you would like and you only buy what you love!

Where should I print my photos? With me of course! I work with professional labs that are perfect with the color profile in which I shoot. When ordering prints through consumer grade labs such as shutterfly, CVS, Walgreens, etc. You never now what you will get back. The colors will be off and the prints are low quality. I offer many options for wall art, albums and prints.

How are your albums different than shutterfly? My albums are heirloom quality, hand made albums. I offer leather bound and linen albums that will last a lifetime. Most photo books are printed on magazine-type paper, but these album pages are made of true photographic prints that are bound together by hand. I design them for you so all you have to do is enjoy them!

What do your sessions cost? My session fee is $200 this includes consultation, the session time, and access to all of my high quality props and client closet. All prints and products are sold separately. I offer a "Create A Collection" which is a 3 step process where you 1st choose your wall art (Wood, Canvas, Wood Framed) 2nd you choose your album (different sizes and covers) and 3rd you choose the amount of digitals that you would like. Most Clients spend $1,500-$2,000 with theses collections. I also offer a Digital only collection that starts at $550.
